MEMBERS of Owmby Golf Club Ladies Section enjoyed their annual away trip to a golf hotel - this year Belton Woods near Grantham.
A great time was had by all and they are already making plans for a return next year, if not sooner.
On the first day they played the lakes, with a three-ball alliance, and the winning team was Pam Ross, Noreen Bradford and Rita Garner.
The second day saw a three-ball Stableford multiplier on the forest course, where Pam Ross was again in the winning team, alongside Fran Pullen and Carole Earp.
The pro shop staff offered prizes for anyone getting a net birdie on the 10th hole on the lakes course - a very difficult hole with hidden water just in front of the green, so he must have thought his money was safe. However, two of the Owmby ladies were to prove his confidence misplaced, with both Pam Ross and Breege Owen scoring a net birdie on that hole.
The first medal of the season was also played recently, with the winner being Barbra Laing with a net score of 68.
The second medal day was won by Breege Owen, with a net score of 70.
