Market Rasen Angling Association members moved away from the Jackson Buildbase Summer Aggregate Shield and fished recently for the annual Feast Week Trophy and Jack Larder Memorial Cup.
Both matches where fished over a six hour duration with them both being well supported.
The Feast Week Trophy was the first to be fished and it was Sam Appleyard that took the win from peg 7 with a weight of 11lb 14oz, second spot went to Jim Kelham with over 160 fish for a weight of 8lb 12oz from peg 30, the final podium spot was claimed by Ted Goulsbra from peg 12 with a weight of 4lb 6oz.
The Jack Larder memorial was the next match up and it turned out to be a one sided affair with Barry De’Ath fishing from peg 16 winning with 11lb 7oz at the weigh in.
Second spot went to Stuart Cash on peg 17 with 5lb 8oz and it was good to see the ever present Al Smith claiming third place with 3lb 1oz from peg 21.
This Sunday sees the final Jackson Buildbase Aggregate Shield match and the H Taylor Cup, with the title to be decided between Barry De’Ath and Dave Appleyard.
