ANGLING: Market Rasen Winter League takes shape

Market Rasen Angling Club: Winter League Aggregate Shield – 2nd Leg

After a severe overnight frost the draw took place at 8.30am for the second leg of the Winter League at the Willingham Road Pit and 11 members attended the draw.

Fishing commenced for the five hour match at 9.30am in improving weather conditions. The fishing was slow from the off, and at the end of the match weights were down considerably from the first leg, fished a fortnight before.

The man that mastered the conditions and took first spot was Ted Goulsbra, fishing the feeder from Peg 6 with a weight of 3lb 15oz.

Second place went to Barry Dea’th also fishing the feeder on Peg 7 with 2lb 1oz, In third place was Mick Manning, Peg 21 with 1lb 14oz on the waggler,

Jim Hewson claimed fourth place fishing the feeder from Peg 18 with 1lb 13oz and the final point was taken by Stuart Cash on Peg 17 again fishing with the feeder method with a weight of 1lb 10oz.
