ANGLING: Humphreys takes Market Rasen win but Appleyard remains on top

Thursday evening saw 13 members of Market Rasen Angling Association turn out for the 5th leg of the Jackson Buildbase Summer Aggregate Shield and they were met with a pleasant evening throughout the match duration.

The draw would be the key factor in determining which anglers would be contesting for the win.

At the all in most anglers started to catch fish on a regular basis, but it was Dave Humphreys fishing the feeder from peg 25 that turned in the match winning weight of 6lb 5oz, Dave had among his catch two quality bream.

The ever present and current league leader Dave Appleyard weighed in with 4lb 10oz from peg 18 feeder fishing for second place, and Barry De’Ath took the final podium place from peg 30 fishing the pole for a weight of 4lb 8oz.

Dave Appleyard sits atop of the league with 41 points from Barry De’Ath with 36 points, and Dave Humphreys starting to figure with 30 points.
