Sunday brought 14 Market Rasen Angling Association anglers to the Willingham Road lake to fish the third winter league match and the members were treated to one of the better winter days with very little wind, mild and long periods of sunshine.
The draw for pegs took place at 8.30am and the all in at 9.30am, the match fished over five hours saw all of the anglers struggling to accumulate a match winning weight, but come the all out it was Jim Kelham fishing from peg 9 who won the match with a weight of 5lb 14oz.
Mick Manning finished in second place with 2lb 10oz from peg 24 and Roy Bently claimed the last pay out spot with 2lb 2oz on peg 11.
With the league leader Dave Humphreys failing to score any points from the match the league now looks close at the top with Dave Humphreys on 9 points, Ted Goulsbra and Jim Kelham with 7 points each.
The next match will be fished on December 14, any members wishing to fish will be made welcome, just turn up for the 8.30am draw.
