Sunday saw only nine anglers make the draw for the fourth match of the Market Rasen Angling Club’s Winter League.
The match commenced with the shout of the all in at 9.30am and all the anglers found that bites were hard to come by, but Ted Goulsbra was catching on a regular basis and by the time that the all out was called it was Ted who was the first to weigh in with a net of 5lb 7oz of skimmers fishing the feeder method with maggot and pinkie from peg 9.
Second spot was claimed by Al Smith, also fishing feeder on peg 18 with 2lb 11oz, the final podium spot was claimed by Stuart Cash from peg 17 on the feeder with 2lb 4oz.
After four matches Stuart Cash sits top of the league table on 16 points, extending his lead now to five points from his nearest challenger.
The anglers now take a break until the New Year, and weather permitting they will resume with match 5 in the Winter League, which will be fished on January 12.
Any members wishing to take part in the Winter League can do so by turning up for the 8.30am draw, all will be made welcome.
