Market Rasen First XI were skittled for just 79 at Bracebridge Heath as they slipped closer to the Lincs County League Premier Division trapdoor.

Rasen won the toss and batted first, but only Charlie Scales (26) and skipper Dale Christie (11) made double figures as the visitors were bowled out inside 34 overs.

Andrew Scott (43 not out) helped the hosts knock off the runs in just 19 overs for the loss of two wickets.

The defeat saw Rasen drop to 10th, one place above the relegation zone, as they were leapfrogged by Caistor who were 52-run winners at Outcasts.

On Saturday, Rasen host bottom side Outcasts at Rase Park from 1pm.
