Two of De Aston’s sports teams have been kitted out following new sponsorship, in this, the school’s 150th anniversary year.
The need for a new kit for the girls’ football and hockey teams spurred PE teacher Leanne Biggs to approach the local Carlton Fuels Business Development Manager David Jones and the company agreed to the donation of the kits, which were designed in conjunction with Rocford Sports.
“Donations such as this are important to keep the business connected with the local community,” said Jonathan Best, Regional Manager for Carlton Fuels,
“We launched a Bursary Fund last year to enable us to reach, and engage with, organisations and charities in the area where we work, with financial assistance.
“With De-Aston School, we’re proud to see our logo emblazoned on their shirts, and hope that our involvement spurs the teams on to victory in their forthcoming competitions.”
The girls’ football team is now looking forward to entering the Lincolnshire Schools’ Competition next year, whilst the girls’ hockey team will be competing in the Lincolnshire Cup and Coastal and Wolds competitions.
