Brocklesby Park Cricket Club stalwart and present weekend team captain Jamie Burbidge has played his 1,000th game for the club.

The fast medium bowler, 52, now at the veteran stage of his long career, made his debut in 1972.

He has played his 1,000 matches in the East Lindsey League, the West Wold Evening League and in friendlies.

The one-club man has taken 1,133 wickets in that time at a cost of 16.16 with a strike rate of 31.69.
