HORSE RACING: Mums go free in Market Rasen this Sunday

Mums are being given free admission to the horse racing at Market Rasen Racecourse on Mother’s Day this Sunday.

All that mothers need to do is to email a picture of themselves with their children, including their name, address and telephone number, to marketrasen@thejockeyclub.co.uk – and they will be called to arrange the free Tattersalls Enclosure ticket.

The pictures will be published in the raceday programme.

Pip Kirkby, the racecourse’s general manager, said: “We’re delighted to be racing on Mother’s Day. It’s an exciting time for racing with the Cheltenham Festival starting two days later – and we’ll have lots of tips from trainers and jockeys on the day.

“We also want to make it an extra special day for mothers, so mums are being offered free admission if they send us a picture of themselves and their children.”

The first race is at 2.20pm, with the finale at 5.20pm. General admission: Family Enclosure £7.50; Tattersalls £14; County Enclosure £19. Students and senior citizens save up to £4 off admission. Accompanied under 18s are admitted free of charge.

Call 0844 579 3009 to book general admission. More information is at www.marketrasenraces.co.uk.
