Market Rasen golf: Margaret and Ronnie reach regional final

The ladies' section of Market Rasen Golf Club played in the Australian Spoons competition last week with a place in the regional final at stake for the winners.

Margaret Dixon and Ronnie Sullivan booked their passage through by winning with a score of 33 points.

They finished well clear if Hillary Tuhey and Angela Drayton (29 points) who took second place on countback from third-placed pair Joy Purkiss and Liz Marshland.

Prior to that event, the ladies held their first qualifier of the season which was won by Helen Gibbard with a total of 35 points.

Sue Archer was second, two points further back, and Lesley Brewis finished third on 32.
