Market Rasen golf: Countback as top three tie for Sanders Trophy

The ladies of Market Rasen Golf Club played for their Sanders Trophy last week, a medal competition played over 18 holes.

Three ladies came in with a good score of nett 72 with Helen Gibbard winning after a countback from runner-up Sue Archer and third-placed Jane Salt.

* On Friday, the ladies played an am-am competition with the ladies of Melton Mowbray.

This was organised by lady captain Helen Grinham and her sister Elizabeth, lady captain of Melton.

The day was a huge success with the Hackers and Wackers Trophy going to the team of Helen Wilson, Lorna Moore, Rebecca Ross (Market Rasen) and Bettyne Nerton (Melton) with a grand score of 80.
