In second place with a score of 38 was Wendy Whitely, and Gill Fussey completed the top three, scoring 36.

* Market Rasen’s ladies’ B team travelled to Grimsby earlier in the week to play the hosts’ A team and lost by three-and-a-half matches to a half.

But they enjoyed better fortunes in a friendly match against Louth on Friday.

This produced a win for the Rasen ladies by two-and-a-half matches to one-and-a-half.
