Ladies out in force for pairs contest
MARKET Rasen Ladies first competition of 2012 was held on January 4.
The pairs competition – the January March – was well supported and saw Glenys Cairney and Margaret Dixon being the winners with 53 points.
In second place was Jenny Brundle and Tilly Lawrence on 51 points, followed by Sharman Scott and Lorna Moore in third position with 50 points.
Fine weather helped a novel match between the Snow Queens and Jack Frost the following week.
This fun event saw 28 ladies taking part in what proved to be a close run affair.
The last match into the clubhouse was the decider, with the scores standing at three all, and this last match was halved ensuring an agreeable draw.
