The annual Turkey Trot was played by Owmby Golf Club Ladies Section, before their Christmas lunch and prize giving.

The Trot event is played with two clubs and a putter over nine holes, using a stableford format.

And after an exciting match, Gill Gladwin was announced the winner.

Gill also received the Spring Cup and the award for most improved golfer at the following prize giving.

Di Newton was named Club Champion, with Di Warburton being awarded Birdie Tree, EWGA medal, Summer Eclectic Winner and Order of Merit winner.

Prizes for all the monthly medals were also given out.

Christmas lunch followed at the home of Ruth Anyan, with grateful thanks expressed for her continued generosity.

The ladies are now in the middle of their winter competitions, with the winners of these to be announced and prizes given out at the annual trip to a golf hotel sometime in April 2013.
