Youngsters get a helping hand from RAF
Sqn Ldr Paul Albert Finney officially handed over the new kit to Oscar Finney at the Rase Park ground, with members of the team and managers watching on.
Market Rasen U14 football team have a new training tracksuit thanks to RAF Waddington.
The sponsorship was made possible through money raised at the base’s annual airshow, where a charity committee made up of personnel from the station give some of the profits to local charities and other not for profit organisations.
“The clubs values are important to us,” said Sqn Ldr Albert Finney, who went along to Rase Park for the official kit handover.
“The club is tough on respect and there is clearly a good team spirit, so we were pleased to be able to help them in this way.”
Each of the 17 squad members has received a top and trousers from the RAF Waddington charity fund.
“We are grateful to Sqn Ldr Finney for all the help he has given in getting this sponsorship,” said team manager Tim Paul.
“It has boosted morale, as the players really look like a united team when they turn out.”
