Valuable point for Brigg

Two late goals saw Brigg Town secure a valuable point in a thrilling 3-3 draw away in the north east at Newcastle Town on Saturday.

The Zebras trailed 3-1 with just over four minutes remaining before a late comeback. Scorers for Brigg were Danny Buttle, Matt Muldoon and Elliot Broughton.

The point moves Brigg up a place to 17th in the Evo-stik Northern Premier League Division 1 South table.

Kidsgrove moved off the bottom by beating Rainworth 4-1 to close the gap on the Zebras to eight points with five games remaining.

Bedworth are now bottom of the table and provide the opposition for Brigg at the Hawthorns on Saturday, April 5.
