Town on fine form

RM Imp 0-2 Market Rasen Town

MARKET Rasen Town FC continued their excellent away form with a 2-0 win at RM Imp on Saturday in the Lincoln League.

After a fortnight without a game Market Rasen Town travelled to Lincoln and came away comfortable winners, further extending their unbeaten run to seven games.

The home side had also put together an impressive run of unbeaten games, but when Paul Nicholson put the visitors in front after 20 minutes the game only ever looked like going one way.

Town then doubled their lead early in the second half when James Bennett swept the ball home from a corner and although several further chances fell to Rasen they couldn’t convert them.

Town’s run in to the end of the season involves a midweek fixture away against Nettleham tonight, Wednesday, before they again face R M Imp this Saturday.
