Rasen suffer defeat at table topping Ivy

MARKET Rasen FC suffered a setback when they went down to Ivy Tavern 4-1 at Rase Park on Saturday.

Missing three first choice centre backs, Market Rasen were forced into a reshuffle with Matt Rutherford and Andy Brumpton starting in an unfamiliar back line.

Ivy Tavern started the game top of the table and were impressive in the early stages.

Despite not having created too many chances in the first half, Market Rasen went ahead after 30 minutes following good work down the right hand side by Jason Hall, who set up Jack Robinson to slot past the advancing Ivy Tavern keeper.
