Market Rasen 4-1 Ruston Sports Reserves

AFTER a long lay off, Market Rasen FC returned to Lincoln League action with a fine 4-1 win over Ruston Sports Reserves.

It was the side’s first game in more than six weeks due to the snow and ice.

The fixture had to be moved to Lincoln however due to Rase Park still being unplayable.

Market Rasen took the field missing defenders Aaron Greenbeek and Drew Norburn due to injury and work respectively.

On a bright note to start the new year they did sport a new kit.

Market Rasen started slowly and there was a string of misplaced passes, an inevitable consequence of inactivity since the late November snow.
