Outstanding win for Under 9s

Market Rasen Under 9’s

Lowlands 0 Market Rasen 6

The game kicked off with Rasen soon on the attack and the Lowlands’ keeper making a good save from Greg Watson.

Lowlands then had an attack of their own, which the Rasen defence dealt with comfortably.

The first ten minutes was very even, but Rasen took the lead after 11 minutes with a fine shot from Greg Watson. This seemed to settle Rasen and they started playing some great fluent football and after 20 minutes Joshua Jordan curled home Rasen’s second.

Lowlands were now only just threatening on the counter attack and Greg Watson scored his second, and Rasen’s third, just before half time, making it 0-3 going into the break.

Rasen came out second half playing some lovely football, which ended with Toby Ross scoring Rasen’s fourth goal after hesitation in the Lowlands’ defence.

Three minutes later, Greg Watson scored his hat-trick and Rasen’s fifth with a great shot.

The Lowlands’ keeper made some great saves to keep the score down, but six minutes from time George Balmer scored Rasen’s sixth to cap off a great team display.

A sporting Lowlands’ Manager complimented the team on a great footballing display and this win takes Rasen to one point off the top of the table.
