Fortunately for Sheilah Mitchell there were no crocodiles for her to dodge on Market Rasen Golf Course as she secured the Sanders Salver last week.

Sheilah, who is pictured with a croc during a round of golf in Nigeria, produced a great round of 90-26=70 to net the Salver by two shots.

Lynne Patrick (96-24=72) took second place on countback from Bridget Holmes who carded a score of 85-13=72, and Helen Wilson (99-26=73) completed the top four.

* Earlier this month, the club’s ladies’ section played for the Newstead Trophy.

Aileen Sellars won the par/bogey competition after managing to play a level round of golf.

Lady captain Hefina Brumpton finished in second spot with -1 ahead of third-placed Tilly Lawrence with -2, and Sharman Scott (-2) in fourth.
