Manager calls for Rase Park roar from fans
Market Rasen Town Manager Andy Brumpton
RASEN boss Andy Brumpton has called on townsfolk to create the noise at Rase Park this coming Saturday, February 4, for the Lincs Cup semi-final clash with Pinchbeck United.
He said: “Our league form has been a bit up and down for most of the season, but in the cup the lads have been outstanding, especially in the last round against Moulton.
“We hear Pinchbeck will bring a bus or two of travelling supporters so it would be great if the local people could also turn up in force. It would give the lads a massive lift .”
Brumpton is well aware that Pinchbeck are full of experienced non-league players and enjoy serious financial backing in their bid to climb the non league pyramid.
It will be a massive test for a Rasen team which has already seen off two other Peterborough League teams in Crowland and Moulton Harrox, who incidentally, drew with Pinchbeck recently.
To assist with the carnival atmosphere, Rasen’s under 8s will play their Under 9 counterparts in a small sided game during the half-time interval.
Supporters are reminded that admission is free and kick-off is 2.30pm.
