FOOTBALL: Strong finish boosts Crusaders

Caistor Crusaders Junior Football Club Under 12 presentation evening took place at the town’s Sports and Social Club.

The team had a strong finish to the season, winning five of the last seven games to consolidate a mid-table position with excellent prospects for next season.

Individual trophy winners were: top goal scorer - Nethen Ramesh, second Ethan Janes; most improved player - Declan Bell; players’ player - Harry Strange; clubman - Cormac Knowles; best newcomer - Jack Nillson; player of the year - Will Lince.

The team is managed by Andy Knowles and Callum Wallace and coaching is by Sean Mumby and Tom Smith.
