Caistor Rovers 2-1 Crows nest 2nd

Rovers got a tough draw against table topping opposition from their own division and had inflicted a 4-1 on Rovers earlier in the season.

Rovers got off to a slow start, allowing Crows to dictate the pace, and were punished 10 minutes in.

But this seemed to bring out the best in Rovers and they slowly started to boss the game and they drew level through a Liam Ladds goal.

This seemed to rattle Crows and Rovers bossed the remainder of the first period.

The second half started well for Rovers, which led to a Nathan Usher goal,

Rovers by now had the bit between their teeth and they set about creating more chances, which they failed to take.

Special mention to captain Jamie Wilkes for an outstanding display at the heart of the Rovers’ defence.

Man of the match, sponsored by Savages’ Fish and Chips, was Ben Togher and the match ball sponsor was The Roofing Co.
