Market Rasen under 10s 2–1 Sleaford under 10s

THE boys started the game in confident mood forcing the Sleaford keeper into several good saves, with chances from Dean and Watson.

Rasen continued to dominate possession with Sleaford hanging on. Halfway through the first half, Sleaford started to come into the game, but Finley Boyes and the Rasen defence dealt with everything comfortably.

Rasen had further chances with the Sleaford keeper making good saves again from Watson and Flear. Half time 0-0

Oliver Adlam and Lewis Dean came on at half–time and were soon in action, Adlam sending a lovely pass through to Callum Dean who raced past the Sleaford defence to put Rasen 1–0 up with a shot into the corner of the net.

Rasen continued to pass the ball about very well but were caught on a break and Sleaford equalised half way though the half.

This brought Rasen down to earth and just two minutes later lovely passing between Greg Watson and Callum Dean ended with Watson scoring Rasen’s second goal with a well placed shot.

Both teams created chances ,but this was a great win for the Rasen youngsters which put them in second place in the table. Greg Watson was man of the match.
