Market Rasen Town 1-2 Cleethorpes AKP

The Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League programme was dominated by cup ties on Saturday.

And Market Rasen Town were back in action at home in the Supplementary Cup to Cleethorpes AKP, a team they had already won and lost to this season.

But this time Cleethorpes, the 2011 winners of the competition, sealed their place in the quarter-finals with victory by the odd goal in three in Group A.

The win completed a 100% record in their Group, which comprises of three teams from the bottom of the league.

Rasen and Louth Town Reserves have to play each other again to see who joins them in the last eight.

Market Rasen Town have an early opportunity to avenge this defeat however when they travel to Clee’s Linden Homes Ground this Saturday in the league.
