FOOTBALL: Caistor Rovers reap revenge

Caistor Rovers 1-0 East Marsh Empire

Caistor made wholesale changes for the return fixture of last week’s 3-0 defeat to the same opponents.

Only four players made the starting line-up from the previous week, Rovers starting line up was Sam Jarvis in goal, a back four of Robert Logan, Jamie Wilkes, Tony Wells, Mike Flower, a midfield of Nathan Usher, Luke Williams, Nathan Harris, Kieran Togher, and Luke Niland playing behind the lone striker Liam Ladds.

Rovers bossed the game from the kick off creating chances every 10 minutes and they finally put one away with five minutes of the first period left with a tidy finish from Liam Ladds.

Rovers made a change at half time bringing off the hardworking Kieran Togher and replacing him with the young exciting talent of Josh Cook, who showed bits of his promising talent. Rovers also called upon the experienced substitute of Gareth Wilson.

This was a solid performance from an ever improving Rovers with a special mention to the Rovers back four, who produced there first clean sheet of the season.
