Brigg Town’s senior side may be struggling, with another 3-1 home defeat to Newcastle Town on Saturday, but the club’s U18s squad is flying high and this week made it through to two cup semi finals.
They made it through their Steve Asher Memorial Charity Cup Quarter Final without even kicking a ball as Alford could not raise a team.
Brigg then travelled to face Bottesford Town in the Andrew Bandelow Memorial League Cup Quarter Final and came away with a 3-1 win, Ben Gray grabbing two goals and Ryan Thompson the third.
In the Lincolnshire Intermediate Football League North, Wrawby Rovers sealed an excellent 3-0 away win against St Helen’s Colts, Matthew Eagles with a hat-trick.
Brigg U18s return to league action on Sunday at home to Louth Old Boys, kick off 11.30am, while it’s Wrawby’s turn to face a Andrew Bandelow Memorial League Cup Quarter Final at home to Collingham at 2pm.
