The away side won the toss and chose to bowl first, a decision which proved to be the correct call.

From the start Sleaford applied great pressure with the ball and restricted Middle Rasen to scoring at a slow rate.

The home side never really got a partnership together as Cameron Hall (3 for 8) and Obus Pienaar (5 for 12) tore through the home side and bowled out Rasen for 53 inside 19 overs.

A special mention should go to Simon Godby who took four catches in the field, two of which were difficult.

With such a low total to defend Sleaford were in no mood to hang around as they started on the offensive.

Despite some good bowling from Chris Higgins, who saw a couple of chances for wickets go by, Sleaford were never in trouble as their openers knocked off the runs after eight overs without loss.
