The eight-wicket victory gives Rasen a little more breathing space, putting 39 points between them and the Premier Division drop zone.

Boryszczuk’s run-out of Outcasts opener Wroot (1-1) set the tone as James Fussey (3 for 13) and Will Bradford (1 for 27) reduced the hosts to 17-4, having won the toss and opted to bat.

Chris Higgins got rid of top scorer Matthew Teal and Boryszczuk (2 for 18 of 12) got rid of the tail to bowl Outcasts out for just 103 in 38.2 overs.

In reply ,all of the Rasen batsmen contributed, ensuring there would be no wobbles chasing down a low target.

Will Bradford found the boundary four times in a 21-ball 20 before he was caught behind off Graham Clark.

Charlie Scales made a patient 19 before he was caught off Russell Fletcher, but Boryszczuk was the mainstay, carrying his bat to finish unbeaten on 55 as Rasen eased home inside 35 overs.
