Caistor’s 1sts batting line up never got firing on Saturday as Cherry Willingham eased to an emphatic eight wicket victory at Brigg Road.
The home team won the toss and elected to bat. Opener Paul Dimbleby hit 23 off 42 balls to get things rolling for Caistor, sadly few of his teammates offered further resistance to the Cherry bowlers.
Jim Parker was the only other Caistor batsmen to reach double figures, a knock of 20, as the hosts folded and were back in the clubhouse for just 92 all out.
In reply, it took the visitors just 25 overs and two wickets to meet the target, Paul Jackson and Oliver Barrick collecting the wickets for Caistor.
Caistor sit seventh of 12 in the Lincolnshire League Premier Division and face a tough challenge this Saturday as they travel to face league leader Messingham.
