Brocklesby Park CC batsman Charles Strange has retired at the end of the 2015 season having reached his target for his career and scored a massive 10,000 runs for the club.

Charles made his debut in May 1987 as a schoolboy having being coached at both Cleethorpes Cricket Club and Caistor Cricket Club and played for Lincolnshire junior teams.

After studying at Aberystwyth University, where he also played cricket, he returned to the local area to teach and rejoined Brocklesby, playing in the East Lindsey League and the West Wold Evening League.

His last match was a friendly against Cottingham Cricket Club when he scored 26 not out.
