The Brocklesby Hunt Pony Club senior Mounted games team recently travelled to the Bakewell Showground in Derbyshire for their area qualifier and returned triumphant, winning the competition in style by a clear 10 points.
The win qualifies the team of Vicky Colebrook, Grace Herring, Zoe East, Danni Goldsmith, Tiffany Barnard and Sophie Couledge a place in the Zone finals in July to be held at Newcastle racecourse.

Every week the team has practiced and trained tirelessly and its success is down to sheer determination, dedication and an excellent team spirit with Vicky, Tiff and Zoe acting as trainers to the new members.

Hard on the heels of the above success, Zoe swapped her red and white games tabard for her show jumping jacket to join Nicky Oliver, Katie Castle and Charlotte Wood to contest the Hickstead Qualifier competition held at Arena UK, Grantham where the girls were faced with a challenging and technical course which only a handful of the 50 starters managed to negotiate without faults.

The Brocklesby team finished in a creditable 2nd, securing its place at the championships at Hickstead, East Sussex in August, home of the famous Hickstead Derby Bank.

The Branch Tetrathlon (running, shooting, riding and swimming) competitors have also been reaping much success. Henry James has been selected to captain the UK Tetrathlon team which will be competing against teams from America, Canada and Ireland at Wincanton in Somerset, Hartbury in Gloucestershire and County Cork, Ireland during August.

On a regional level, Latta Chauhan and Toby Bartlett have been invited to represent Area 6 in this year's junior (14 and under) and mini (11 and under) respectively Inter-area Tetrathlon in July at Burnham Market in Norfolk.
