Saturday, 9am: WORLD Champion Commonwealth Medalist Amy Monkhouse officially opened the new Keelby Bowls Club.
The club was formed in August 2006 at a brand new sporting facility on the outskirts of the village.

The new facility is the envy of all with a pavilion second to none, which allows members to play indoor bowls on a short mat several times a week during the winter months as well as holding many social gatherings.

Unfortunately last year's adverse weather conditions caused flooding, thus delaying the opening of the outdoor bowling green and vandalism proved a big problem but luckily Lottery Funding enabled the club to erect security fencing around the green.

New members are always welcome. For further information please ring Walter Shird, Chairman on 01469 569699.
