A HIGHLY successful Ladies Open AM-AM was played out at Market Rasen Golf Club by 45 teams of ladies from across Lincolnshire and neighbouring counties.
The early birds were on the 'T' at 7.40am and the last team was away at 3pm.

The winning team, with 88 points, of Joan Birtles, Joan Self, Margaret Walker and Biddy Johnson from Retford Golf Club teed off at 10.50am and had a long wait to confirm
their success at the 7.30pm presentation.

The ladies thanked Market Rasen Lady Captain for a very enjoyable day, on a course in superb condition and for an excellent meal.

In second position, a Market Rasen/Lincoln/Pottergate team with 85 points, were Tilly Lawrence Lorna Moore, Pat Pearson and Linda Eastburn.

Third (81 points) Springhead Park team of S. Mayfield, S. Adjei, P. Phillips and L. Bray, Fourth were Market Rasen Team (81 points) Margaret Rylatt, Rebecca Ross, Sylvia Mowbray and Noreen Bradford (Kenwick Park).

Fifth (81 points) were Boston team of M. Jordon, R. Knaggs, B. Unwin and D. Lincoln and sixth (80 points) Market Rasen/Cleethorpes team of H. Brumpton G. Porter, P. Chadwick, P. Lee.

Longest drive, on the 6th was won by Tilly Lawrence of Market Rasen and nearest the pin of the 18th was M. Hardy of Boston. Over £1,000 was raised for the Lady Captain's nominated charity of 'Lives' First Responders.
