Double podium for Honda

THE LOUTH-based HM Plant Honda team celebrated at double podium at Mallory Park when Leon Haslam finished second and Cal Crutchlow third in the first leg of the Bennetts British Superbike championship on Sunday.
Series leader Shakey Byrne took the win and was second to Michael Rutter in the second race with Crutchlow again stepping onto the podium for third place. This time Haslam was sixth.

Byrne extends his series lead to 97 points over Crutchlow whose Mallory success brings him ahead of Leon Camier at the half way stage of the 12-round competition.

The next, seventh round, is at Oulton Park, Cheshire on July 18 to 20.
