RNLI - Thanks for support

Have your say

On behalf of the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution), may I thank Sharon Taylor, Services & Charities Manager & all the Management & staff team, together with their incredibly generous customers at the Tesco Store in Brigg?

Their generosity enabled the Caistor, Brigg & Market Rasen Fundraising Branch of the RNLI to collect a magnificent £1254.88 during the 18/19/20thth July. Every penny will help to save lives at sea and from the water.

As this is the start of the summer holidays, it could so easily be any one of us who goes to the beach, surfing, body boarding, sailing, fishing (or suffering flooding in our home). The RNLI is currently campaigning for us all to take great care both on the beach and walking on cliff paths or rocky promontories & to make sure we check tides, currents & weather forecasts when we go to the coast.

Statistically, we are 6 times less likely to drown if we use lifeguarded beaches, which can be identified from the website - rnli.org.uk to check & down load the app so we have it permanently available.

The RNLI’s Lifeboats, Lifeguards & Flood Rescue teams will be there to help, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Yours sincerely,

Margaret Smith
