EDITOR – There are probably many a folk crying out in anguish when reading the front headline ‘WLDC exec bags £27k farewell’ – Market Rasen Mail, July 4 – and thinking back to the time when they were given a clock after 45 years of loyal service to a company.

But let us please not forget that when former WLDC deputy chief executive Adrian McCormick, who after only a year is to be given that suitcase stuffed with £27,525 crisp new wonga, will in fact be mentally torn asunder.
