LETTER: County Council - We are NOT on £100,000

Just in case, you swallowed your cup as well as the coffee, when reading Mr Crosby’s diatribe in last week’s Market Rasen Mail,

On being told that your County councillors receive £100,000 per year.

Your local county councillor for The Ancholme cliff division now works around 35 hours per week on county council business and receives around £10 per hour around the same hourly payment as the local parish clerk.

I hope Mr Crosbie will retract his statement although, I will not hold my breath!

Best wishes to all,

Lewis Strange

County Councillor for the
Ancholme Cliff division.
