I congratulate Guy Grainger on his research into ambulance responses.
Many years ago I was an officer working in the ambulance control room. One of my jobs was compiling the ORCON standards.
These showed whether or not the responses were within the set standards for both emergency and urgent calls.
Invariably the standards were met and if they were not there was an inquisition.
When the amalgamation of services was mooted I predicted that the service to Lincolnshire would deteriorate as resources tend to gravitate to larger conurbations.
Sadly it seems I was correct.
