EDITOR – It was with great regret and no little sympathy that I read the lead article in the Market Rasen Mail on August 22 2012 regarding the gas explosion within a local property.
Whilst mindful of the appalling consequences of the work that was apparently undertaken, allegedly, without appropriate qualifications, by Dan Hickling, the tradesman concerned, I felt it necessary to report on my experience of his personal and professional skills.
On those occasions when he visited our own property he proved himself both capable and ready to call on the expertise of others when required.
He was unfailingly cheerful and polite, worked to high standards and provided superb levels of customer service.
In the light of reported events, it seems appropriate to offer this complimentary perspective.
