Women’s Institute - The September meeting marked the 100th anniversary, when members were joined by Sue Bradley and guests from neighbouring groups for an evening of entertainment.
This was provided by Harmony with Rosie, with everyone joining in with the singing.
Supper was provided by members and a beautiful celebration cake made and decorated by Sue Johnson.
The meeting was also the annual mini produce show and winners were: flapjack - 1 Marilyn Moore, 2 Vicky James, 3 Sue Binns; strawberry jam - 1 Marilyn Moore, 2 Vicky James, 3 S Morris; flower arrangement in egg cup - 1 C Scourfield, 2 Marilyn Moore, 3 Sue Binns; child’s knitted hat - 1 Elaine Eccles, 2 Marilyn Moore, 3 Janet Lenton.
The next meeting will be in the town hall on Monday, October 12, at 7.30pm, when Dave Newman will talk of life in a Victorian garden.
Visitors are welcome at a cost of £4, including a buffet supper.

Swimming club - Wragby Swimming Club is to hold a jumble sale in the town hall on Saturday, October 24.
Donations of goods for sale and prizes for the tombola and the raffle will be appreciated.
Proceeds will all go to help the management committee maintain the pool and continue with its programme of improvements to make the pool more user-friendly for all.
During half-term, the popular family fun sessions will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 2pm to 3pm. The cost is £1.50 for children and £2 for adults .
New toys have been purchased for the young swimmers during the fun sessions and pool side lockers are now available now, too.
