It’s all happening in the town hall.
Family bingo - Shane Smith was thrilled to be greeted with a chorus of Happy Birthday from those attending the recent Saturday Night Family Bingo at the town hall as he celebrated his fifth birthday.
The evening raised a total of £226 for Help for Heroes.
Gardeners - Speaker at the February meeting of the Community Gardening Club, was Morris Rollinson of Middle Rasen.
His wide ranging topic was trees and he used slides to illustrate the vast number and variety of trees.
His extensive knowledge and expertise stemmed from his studies at the Merrist Wood College in Surrey and long experience as an Arboriculture Officer, also with responsibility for dealing with public rights of way issues for the council in Kent.
Locally, Mr Rollinson is former demonstrator in horticulture at the Riseholme College of Agriculture and has been a leader of Saga Garden and Walking Holidays.
During a much appreciated added extra in the interval he demonstrated the correct way of pruning all varieties of trees and a lively question and answer session followed as many members of his audience posed their problems and were rewarded with expert advice.
Disability Lincs - The monthly social lunch at the town hall was enjoyed by the members of the Wragby branch of Disability Lincs and their guests.
All were pleased to learn £45 had been donated to the group by members of the Wragby Chapel, from donations made at their monthly informal coffee morning, which they have decided to donate to different charities in 2014 as part of their celebration of 125 years of worship in the current building.
