Tree talk and entertainment
Tree talk - Wragby WI members were among those present at the Witham Group meeting, when Nicholas Barrett entertained with a talk on the popular television programme ‘Who do you think you are’.
Individual WIs were also invited to enter the competition for scones, which were served with coffee and tea afterwards.
Disability entertained - There was a festive theme at the last get together of the year for members of the Disability Lincs Social Group.
A large party of young people walked over from Wragby Primary School with their teacher and assistant staff and gave a delightful presentation of Christmas music, including traditional carols and other seasonal songs.
They were all rewarded with generous applause and a tin of chocolates to share as they returned to school.
The recent Disability Lincs coffee morning had been a resounding success, raising £269 and thanks are extended to everyone who gave support and contributions.
Whist winners - Results from the drive was held in the town hall on December 13 were: Ladies - 1 Mrs M Abelwhite, 2 Mrs B Brumpton and Miss E Hotchin, 4 Mrs M Smith and Mrs J Woodthorpe; Gents - 1 Mrs Y Stainton, 2 Mr M Swift, 3 Mr K Christie, 4 Mr B Pixsley, 5 Mr A Whylie.
