Bowls Club, bingo, preschool and more

Bowls Club sale - Crowds flocked in to the Town Hall for the sale organised by members of Dove Park Bowls Club.

There was a tombola, raffle and refreshments as well as the many stalls and a short time later they were delighted to find they had raised exactly £500, plus one penny for their funds.

Thanks go to everyone who donated the quality goods to sell and to all those who gave their support on the day.

Family bingo - A tombola was an added attraction at the recent Family Bingo Night in the Town Hall, when the regulars enjoyed their monthly social get together.

Proceeds for the Town Hall refurbishing fund amounted to £115, with £55 raised for Help for Heroes at the tombola and sales table.

Pre-School news - Wragby Pre School Management Committee is looking forward to welcoming some new members to the annual meeting, which takes place in the Resource Centre, part of the Wragby Library on Millbrook Business Park, on Monday, October 28, at 7pm.

Women in the woods -
Members of the WI have been continuing to go out and about enjoying their programme of interest and exercise following on from the National Olympic Challenge of last year.

On this occasion they wandered along the walks at Chambers Farm Wood, exploring the natural beauty surrounding them.

The carved wooden sculptures were of interest too, from the badger and fox to the beautifully designed bench where walkers could take a rest.

An added treat at the end of the walk were the scones made and handed out by Audrey Saul to end a very pleasant and enjoyable social evening.

Soup and sweet lunch - Enjoy a good meal and good company as All Saints Church Parochial Church Council prepare to repeat last year’s very successful soup and sweet lunch in the Town Hall on Saturday, October 26.

Home made soup and puddings will be served from 12 noon to 2pm.

Go along to help support the parish church.
