A variety show, a 90th birthday and gardeners’ club.

Swimming Club - A Variety Show is the next event on the programme for the Wragby and District Swimming Club.

It is being presented jointly with the Lindum Accordion Club at the town hall on Saturday, September 7, at 7.30pm.

All are invited to join the audience and enjoy the show, which includes local talent and the music of the Lindum Accordion Club members, who hire Wragby Town Hall for their regular practise sessions .

Admission is £4 for adults and £1 for children.

Disability Lincs - It was celebration time for a member of the Wragby branch when Dorothy Baron reached her 90th birthday.

A surprise drinks and nibbles party was arranged for her at the weekly get together, where a special cake was cut and served together with her favourite scones.

Her fellow members signed a greetings card and all joined in to sing a Happy Birthday.

Community Gardeners - An invitation from Malcolm and Sandra Rogers is always warmly welcomed by the members of the as they appreciate the opportunity to look round their magnificent and beautifully laid out private garden at Apley.

The visit this year was enjoyed on a lovely summer evening, which enhanced the beauty of the large grounds as the visitors strolled around admiring all that has been created by the enthusiastic couple.

Refreshments were served and donations went to Stainfield Church.

The group’s annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 10, in the town hall at 7.30pm.

The business will be followed by a social evening.

Programmes for the new season are almost complete and will be available shortly.

A trip to the Malvern Flower Show is planned for Sunday, September 29, leaving the fire station at 8.30am, also picking up at Nettleham Village Green at 8.45pm.
