Wragby church aims to beat 2012 shoebox total

General News.
General News.

More than 50 shoeboxes filled with essentials and
gifts were sent to some of the poorest children in Eastern Europe by parishioners of All Saints Church in Wragby last year.

This Saturday your help is needed to surpass
that number and make a child’s Christmas extra special. Boxes will be filled at the church between 10am and 12 noon before being passed on to charity, Samaritan’s Purse.

Items suitable for shoeboxes are: small
toys, soft toys, cars,
tennis balls, educational supplies such as pens,
pencils, rubbers, colouring books, notebooks, hygiene items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, brush, comb, wrapped soap, sweets – note the sell by date; gloves, scarves and hats.

Items not allowed
include food, medicine, war-related items, fragile/glass items, liquids including shampoo, soap, bubble bath and scissors.
