What’s new at centre for all our community

This week we take a look at what’s new at Rasen Hub in Union Street in 2013.

Volunteer Access Point

Ring or drop in for help in registering as a volunteer and finding a great local opportunity to develop your skills and talents, build your work experience and CV for future employment and have fun meeting new friends.

Soon there will be training for volunteers that covers the basics and boosts confidence.

Community Website

This is almost ready to launch, a team of website volunteers are busy adding local information to the site, which aims to be a source for the community, showcasing local events on an interactive diary, listing all local clubs, societies, organisations and businesses, but your help is needed.

Local people say not a lot goes on in Rasen, but we know that’s not true, so please send your information or ideas: organisation, club, society or business name, contact person, address, contact details such as phone, mobile, email website, type of activity, days and times, who can be involved and how, any fees or membership schemes.

To provide the best and most up to date information, please request a registration form from Rasen Hub, either in person between 9.30am and 1pm or email rasenhub@live.co.uk

Easter Eggstravaganza

This will be a joint venture between Rasen Hub Junior Craft Club, Tesco and Cottage Crafts.

Rasen Hub want’s to ‘splatter’ the town in Easter Eggs of all shapes and sizes-little eggs, big eggs, flat eggs, 3d eggs, made in unusual, traditional or recycled materials.

The team want to involve as many children as possible to make it egg-citing, so they are asking all local churches and schools to get involved. If you run a group or a club with children, please contact Rasen Hub and arrange a workshop.

Credit Union

A great way to save ethically and get small loans at really low rates. More people are needed to develop this branch-investors/savers and a couple of volunteers. Call 01673 844556 for more information or to make an appointment to invest or take a loan and beat the loansharks.
