CAISTOR has been awarded Walkers are Welcome status.
It now joins Market Rasen as one of the 81 towns and villages across the country to receive the accreditation.
The scheme helps to strengthen a town’s reputation as a place for visitors to go to enjoy the outdoors, bringing useful benefits to the local economy.
It helps to ensure footpaths and facilities for walkers are maintained in good condition, benefiting local people as well as visitors.
The scheme in Caistor will be officially launched on Sunday, June 10, when the town hosts the finale of the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival.
